The scholarship, which goes to an artists who works in the spirit of Ann Margret and Sven Ljungberg, is of forty thousand kronor. The scholarship was established on the initiative of the Ljungby Municipality on Sven Ljungberg's 100th anniversary in 2013. This year the scholarship is awarded for the eighth time and is awarded by Ljungby Municipality, Ljungbergmuseet's Friends Association, and Sven and Ann Margret Ljungberg's Foundation.
As the press release states, Andreas Glad is awarded the scholarship for "his calm coloristic paintings that contain both observation and criticism".
