Elizabeth Thun's two works for Paradisskolan in Älmhult are digital prints on sound absorbers, based on original paintings. The works include greenery and plants that originate from photos taken in nearby nature reserves.
"I wanted to make works that draw on the living storytelling tradition, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, found in Älmhult. Works that, by telling the story of the important natural and cultural values of the local area, inspire and stimulate the viewer's imagination," says Thun.
The works are installed by the two main entrances of the school.
