Ellen Ehk's Tron in Gröndal, Stockholm: Public work

Ellen Ehk's Tron was commissioned by Stockholm Konst and permanently installed by the seafront of Gröndal, close to Ekensbergskajen, in 2019. The bronze sculpture combines cultural elements such as the man-made throne – a typical symbol for power – with sprouting vegetation, covering the throne from head to toe. Organic forms that resemble barks, leafs, roots and mosses reflect the surrounding environment. Combining these disperse elements, the work serves as link between the human and the realm of nature.
