David Taylor b. 1966
David Taylor’s work is placed somewhere in between functionality and concept, in the grey area somewhere in the vicinity of art and what he chooses to call contemporary craft. His material of choice is metal, often used in combination with other materials, lightning and prefabricated profiles.
David Taylor was born in Falkirk, Scotland. He lives and works in Mellösa, Sörmland, and received an MFA in metal works from the University of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack) in 1999. His works have been exhibited in Sweden, the USA, Denmark, South Korea, China, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, France, and elsewhere.
