Dea Svensson b. 1980

Dea Svensson (b. 1980) lives and works in Malmö and holds an MFA from Malmö Art Academy (2005–2010). Presenting his first solo exhibition at Berg Gallery in September 2021, Svensson has previously exhibited at several galleries and museums in southern Sweden, including Kalmar Konstmuseum, Ronneby Konsthall and Galleri Sagoy, Malmö. Recent solo exhibitions include Galleri Sagoy, Malmö, Galleri108, Långasjö, and Galleri Svalan, Kalmar. In addition, his works are represented in the collections of Region Skåne, Ronneby Kommun, Region Blekinge and Region Kalmar. In 2023, Svensson was awarded a two-year studio grant by Malmö Stad as well as a one-year working grant from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
