Biography

Dea Svensson is known for his meticulous ink drawings, composed of millimeter-thin lines and dots through time-intensive techniques such as cross-hatching and stippling. His motifs span from highly realistic countryside and woodland scenes to surreal, dreamlike visions.

Dea Svensson (b. 1980) holds an MFA from Malmö Art Academy (2005–2010). Previous solo exhibitions include Berg Gallery (2024, 2021), Ronneby Konsthall (2018), and Karlskrona Konsthall (2013). Notable group exhibition venues include Teckningsmuseet, Laholm (2025), Ronneby Konsthall (2024), and Kalmar Konstmuseum (2018).

His works are represented in the collections of Teckningsmuseet (Laholm), Region Skåne, Ronneby Kommun, Region Blekinge, and Region Kalmar. In recent years, Svensson has been awarded grants from Aase & Richard Björklund's Fund / Malmö Konstmuseum (2025), The Swedish Arts Grants Committee and Malmö Stad (both 2023).
