Ivar Lövheim b. 1983

Biography

Ivar Lövheim's textured paintings, mimicing the surfaces of moss-covered rocks, suggest fragments that have been detached from the landscape. His use of beeswax, sand and pigments creates a tactile experience that invites viewers to contemplate the microcosms of nature.

Born in Skellefteå in 1983, Ivar Lövheim holds an MFA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (2014–2019). Previous solo and group exhibition venues include Galleri Hammarén, Gothenburg (2023), Molekyl Gallery, Malmö (2022), Varbergs Konsthall, Varberg (2021), GIBCA – Gothenburg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (2019), and Nevven Gallery, Gothenburg (2019, 2017).
